Fri, 12 May 2006 Dreamer by Dreamweaver is a feel good song. Reminds me of a sunny day - something I could use on this rainy Ohio day. Ichiro Nakagawa from Japan gave us Upward this week. A mellow electronic song that reminds me a lot of the music we would play in our tai chi class. It weighs in a little over 9 minutes, but it makes for a great song for meditation, or maybe something to end your yoga practice. 2012 includes a picture of the Aztec calander on their page in the Podsafe Music Network. Liberta is a nice piece of music to include in the background when you want to get some things done. I heard Good Day by Natives of the New Dawn and just knew I had to add it. Light pop song that is just what the doctor ordered on those days when life is not just giving you lemons, but hurling large sacks of them at you. Dreamweaver - Dreamer Ichiro Nakagawa - Upward 2012 - Liberta Natives of the New Dawn - Good Day Comments[3] |

Fri, 31 March 2006 Another week, another show. The sun is shining and it is starting to look
like spring here. For those in the United States, it is time to spring forward
into Daylight Savings Time tomorrow.

Tonight I am back with the Redbush Rooibos Chai from Yogi Tea. Fri, 3 March 2006 I am clearing out some cocoa that I have, so tonight I am drinking Swiss Miss Cocolate Sensation. The box says it has 50% more cocoa that regular Swiss Miss, and you can tell the difference. Not as good as the "gourmet" cocoas, but a lot better than regular powdered cocoa. Mercury went regrograde on March 2nd and will be retrograde for 3 weeks. I never gave it much thought, but I have noticed a big change in how people react during this time frame. The biggest issue I run into is that communications take longer than normal, and many times get jumbled in the process. Make sure to dot all your i's and cross all your t's (and for you Europeans, but those bars on your 7's). The Reverse Engineers - Mercury In Retrogade Hungry Lucy - Into Pieces Uma Floresta - The Roundabout Promo - Holistic Health Nation. A fellow Ohioian talking about Holistic Health issues and playing podsafe music. Comments[0] |

Mon, 13 February 2006 I was coughing my head off on Friday and instead of testing my cough button skills I decided to skip the show. Then my internet connection went down for the rest of the weekend.
I am feeling better and I should be able to get a show out this week instead, as long as my internet is back up at home. Category: general -- posted at: 12:54 PM Comments[1] |

Fri, 27 January 2006 The tea for the episode was Celestial Seasonings Magic Mint again. Still tasted great. Promo for More Hip Than Hippie. I've been listening to their past episodes this week. Entertaining and informative. They rate themselves as PG so you might get the occassional damn or ass in the podcast. I had decided earlier in the week to pick these songs, and as it turned out they were good choices. Ocean Is Near is a little more up tempo, but not a driving temp. Aerstream just reminded me of a great meditation piece. They feel good together and make a nice bit to meditate to. Martin Herzberg - Ocean Is Near g.org - Aerstream Oh yea - I finally got a graphic! It's a start. Comments[0] |
Fri, 20 January 2006 I am feeling a little under the weather so the voice maybe a bit off. No tea tonight - felt more like some water tonight.
Under Feather - On An Eagles Wing Buddha Nature - Zhen, Shan Ren Incoherency - Galapagos Green Eyes - Regression Spiritual Cinema Circle was founded by Stephen Simon (producer of What Dreams May Come and Somewhere In Time) to promote entertaining shorts and movies that can touch your soul. If you liked movies like Whale Rider or What The Bleep Do We Know? then this maybe up your alley. Tell them Howard sent you ;) Comments[0] |
Fri, 13 January 2006 Monday is Martin Luther King day, so I thought we would take a look at some slightly different music tonight. There is once trance song thrown in just for good measure. I warn you before hand incase you are doing something where zoning out would be bad.
There are some excerpts from Dr. King's "I Have A Dream" speech. It was delivered Aug 28, 1963 at the Lincoln Memorial during a civil rights march. For those who have not had a chance to hear this speech I recommend going to the link and listen to it. In total it is 16 minutes and well worth it. Full text for the speech is also at the site. The tea for tonight's episode is Celestial Seasonings Mint Magic. I never tried this tea. When I first opened the shrink wrap there was a strong mint flavor, and the flavor was thankfully matching the aroma. The box lists the tea as a mix of spearmint & peppermint, and neither really stuck out which made for a nice tea. Plus the box has a really cool picture on it ;). Nadir - The Revolution Is Now Scaterd Few - A Freedom Cry Incidental Fusion - Night Dream Cruisebox - On A Podcast As always all the songs from tonights show can be found on the Podsafe Music Network Comments[0] |
Fri, 6 January 2006 Hope everyone had a great new year! I got myself a late Christmas gift - a new mike. Not a "professional", or even semi-pro mike, but it sounded better than my old one.
Tea for the episode - Yogi Tea Rooibos Chai. Pretty good flavor, about half way between home made chai and concentrate from a store. Ever notice how the chai at a restaurant seems mild compared with that from a concentrate in a store? Fri, 30 December 2005 Here is that link I mentioned in the podcast to YGGY'S Old Ways For A New Age comic. The comic is pagan oriented, but you can get the drift of most of the comics regardless of your knowledge of paganism. Category: general -- posted at: 9:19 PM Comments[0] |
Fri, 30 December 2005 Tea of the show - Infusions Almond Tea by Avon Wellness. It was from their dessert tea collection. I could not find it on their site so I am not sure if it is made anymore. I would recommend the Almond - nice almond flavor even though almonds is not listed as one of the primary ingredients. Sweet without any sugar. Bonus! Abundance Checks: Abundance checks is a ritual that can many have used to bring more abundance into their lives. I will present the method I have used, along with some variations on this theme. Abundance checks are done within 24 hours of the New Moon. New Moons are on most calendars so it should be easy to track. For those who follow all 8 phases of the Moon, go ahead and do this any time during the New phase, which lasts for about 3.5 days after the New. Pull out a check from your checkbook. If you do not have a check book, feel free to draw a check on a piece of paper. If you look in an accounting text book you can probably find a sample of a blank check to copy and use as well. Leave the date blank. Some people will put the date in. On the "Pay to the order of" line, put your name. Legal, spiritual, whatever you feel comfortable with. Where you write the amount numerically, put PIF. Alternatively if you write really small write "Paid In Full". On the line where you spell out the name, put "Paid In Full". Big letters here! Sign the check "The Law of Abundance". If you are looking for something specific, other than money, go ahead and write it on the Memo field. Some popular requests I have heard are time and love. File the check away with your other checks. I like to leave my on my altar until the next New Moon. If you feel the need to track that missing check in Quicken or MS Money, list the "Paid To" as "The Law of Abundance" and the amount as 0. That should not affect your balance. Some people like to do one for their personal and one for their business accounts. Links for tonights songs: Butterfly Catchers - Wake Up Joe DJ - Dharma Dysphor - Sigma Frequencies Monroe Institute for more information on inducing certain brain wave patterns by playing different tones in each ear. Interesting work and great for hemisphere integration and activating all parts of the brain. [UPDATE - Added missing paragraph breaks in the HTML.] Comments[0] |
Fri, 23 December 2005 Episode #1 with some music for Christmas, Hanakkah & Kwanza.
The idea to do this podcast came to me kind of quickly so this was a bit rushed. I do plan on getting some artwork and improving the audio quality. Mostly I want to give the new age, acoustical, world and maybe the religious categories a little love in the podosphere. Tea for this episode was Selestial Seasonings' Gingerbread Spice. Not a bad tea. I would prefer something with a little more ginger flavor, but I love ginger. This tea only comes out this time of year. Podsafe For Peace - If Every Day Were Christmas. Buy If Every Day Were Christmas. Old Man Nelson and the Old 27 - DreidalDreidalDreidal Phillip Massyn - Sarie Marais Dejie Johnson - What A Wonderful World All music compliments of the Podsafe Music Network.
